Robin Taylor, BS, MAEd, CMT has been a nationally certified massage therapist since April 2000.(NCBTMB Lic. # 288055-00) Robin is also certified by the Virginia Dept. of Health Professions Board of Nursing. She holds 2 degrees from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC: a BS in Exercise & Sport Science as well as a Master of Arts in Education: Administration of Physical Education & Athletics. She attended Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy from 1999-2000. Upon graduation, Robin taught of courses at the massage school including: Anatomy & Physiology, Injury Assessment, Soft Tissue Release, Palpation Lab, & Sports massage.

 

As an avid outdoor/nature lover, Robin loves to mountain bike, go hiking in the mountains, kayak, run, rollerblade, participate in half-marathons. For fun (and exercise), she enjoys Latin dancing (salsa, bachata, merengue, and Zumba) so she is able to understand the injuries & musculature involved when someone comes to her in pain or discomfort from athletics or overuse. As an adjunct to her exercise training, Robin practices hot yoga at the Hot House Yoga studio in Ghent 3-6 days/wk. and advises many of her clients to do the same to have a well-balanced triangle of health: Massage, Yoga, & Exercise

 

Robin has been self-employed for 9 years. providing relaxation massage as well as injury rehabilitation therapy to her clients. A high percentage of business is from repeat customers and referrals. (Clients receive a $5 discount for each referral & a FREE one-hour massage for 5 referrals!!)
